Spring allergies can be a challenge for many. Does using a sauna help alleviate any seasonal health issues, such as congestion or respiratory discomfort? Sauna use is a great way to boost immunity and protect yourself from illness. It has been found that sauna use is linked to signicantly decreased risk of developing various respiratory illnesses, as well as being able to relieve the symptoms of many existing conditions such as the common cold and asthma. Mersea Sauna is situated in such a stunning natural environment. How do you incorporate the beauty of spring’s blooming landscape into the overall wellness experience? e big one for us is having the large panoramic window in the sauna which allows customers to have a view over the Lake as they sauna. We also have the cold plunge tub situated on the Lake’s edge so the whole experience is very much grounded in nature and we embrace each season and any weather that particular day throws at us. Do you nd that the changing scenery in spring enhances the experience of sauna and cold-water therapy for your customers? How do they respond to the seasonal shi? It does indeed, we have been running. through some very dierent weather (some quite extreme!) and we nd our customers respond very positively to all of the shis. Recently we’ve had quite a few storms and it has been very windy at the Lake. We nd that these times can be really positive and really mood boosting, it is lovely sitting in the sauna hearing the wild weather outside and then taking the Nature & Environment

body needs. ere are no particular benets to practicing in Spring but the higher yet still brisk temperatures make it a very pleasant experience! Saunas have long been associated with detoxication. Do you recommend specic wellness routines during spring for people looking to cleanse and reset their bodies aer winter? Not specically, however if you are looking for an activity to boost your mood and refresh/ rejuvenate you aer the Winter, sauna/ cold plunge is a great option. For maximum benets we would recommend several sessions per week.
