about the beauty of being by a riverbank at sunrise or seeing a colourful sunset on a walk at the end of a busy day. e Danish concept of Hygge is a big inuence of ours, being present in a moment in time and enjoying simple pleasures. How do you think your creations help people process emotions like love, loss, or joy? Ultimately, we hope our creations bring people comfort, spark hope, and inspire someone to embrace life’s full emotional spectrum. It’s not about rushing through a process of healing but about holding space for every feeling, knowing it’s all part of the journey. We’ve used the inks we have exactly for this reason, they light up any room and you can’t help but notice them. We hope that this might encourage someone to stop and take a moment to reect. We also hope that our designs can invoke memories of happy moments with a loved one, and we think of the colourful Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico and what a wonderful celebration of life it is. What role do you see art playing in healing and self-expression? Art allows people to process emotions in ways words oen can’t. It creates a safe space to explore feelings, reect on experiences, and connect with others. Whether through creating or appreciating art, it can be a form of release, a source of comfort, or even a way to nd meaning in dicult times. By tapping into creativity, art helps people express themselves authentically and nd moments of peace, joy, or understanding. ere is a reason that art galleries have benches, aer all – viewing art encourages a moment of reection and everyone will take dierent things from it, it’s never the same for any two people. Have you had any memorable responses from people who connected with your work? One of the best comments we have had on our work was from a widow friend who compared them to traditional sympathy cards. She said that ‘those cards suck the air out of a room when it’s already hard to breathe’ and how colour can invoke a memory and encourage the sender to share a story rather than the usual platitude of ‘with deepest sympathy’. e most meaningful responses we’ve received from our customers are when they share the stories behind their orders - like sending a card to a relative facing a cancer diagnosis. While we wish no one ever had to send a card for such dicult times, it’s heartwarming to know that we might have played a small part in brightening their day.
