The conversation was engaging and candid, reflecting Andrew's warm personality and deep commitment to ethical waste management. Central Waste operates a modern fleet of vehicles across the city, focusing on efficiency and reduced environmental impact. These trucks are the backbone of Liverpool's waste management efforts. What inspired you to start Central Waste Liverpool, and what was your vision when you first launched the business? My mum and dad founded the waste company over 40 years ago, and I took over 9 years ago. Being the youngest of 3, my older brother and sister didn't play a part in it at the time. When I took over, my vision was simple: I wanted to grow the business. As time has passed, my idea of growth has massively changed. I look for inward growth, making improvements in efficiency as well as new sales. Andrew's pride in the company's legacy shines through as he recounts its history. However, inheriting a 40-year-old business also came with obstacles, which we were keen to explore next.
