However, as growth continues in the arid regions of the West and demand for water remains ever present through wet and dry hydrologic cycles, a sustainable water supply can be realized through conjunctively managing both the surface water and the essential groundwater supplies. It is incumbent upon all of us to work together cooperatively to optimize decision making and management practices to preserve the essential groundwater resources that are available to us.
