April 9 marks the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, one of the key points in the history of Canada’s development as a nation. Bob Cleroux, president of the Rockland Royal Canadian Legion (right), and John Mogensen, vice-president, snap off salutes Sunday noon at the Rockland Cenotaph in honour of the Canadians who fought and died at Vimy Ridge.
