drupa has launched of the touchpoint packaging initiative for drupa 2020, which will take place from June 16-26, 2020. The ambitions of drupa touchpoint packaging are to provide insights into packaging design and pro- duction based on consumer needs and use, display the latest solutions and applications, and show how future packaging and design will deliver additional value, stimuli and growth opportunities. Bobst has signed on to be an active contributor to the project. The company believes that the role of packaging is evolving, and the way brands design, pack and distribute products is changing. Showcasing the trends of packaging will help con- verters visualize the directions packaging production are taking. Bobst serves the labels, flexible packaging, folding carton and corrugated boards markets, and the company will provide samples from ideation to finish, working in close cooperation with packaging design- ers and students to implement these innovations. In other news, European packaging solutions com- pany CPC has invested in four machines from Bobst. CPC Packaging was founded in 1986 and has 650 employees across nine factories in France and Ger- many. With sales of 140 million Euros across Europe, CPC has provided a one-stop-shop offer of cartons, flexibles and labels for many years.
