styling her signature slicked-back game-day hairstyle, she turns to worship music to find a sense of calm. Beyond her individual rituals, Addie’s team has traditions of its own. For morning games, the group gathers for breakfast. In the locker room, they form a dance circle to shake out pregame nerves, then sing a team song that holds deep meaning for every player. “Even thinking about this tradition gets me emotional,” Addie says. “Especially since this year will be my last time experiencing it. It’s one of my favorite memories from being on this team.” Addie’s time on the field is winding down, but not quite yet. She’ll graduate this fall after the season concludes, though she walked this past June, closing one chapter while looking ahead to the next. She plans to pursue her dream of playing professional soccer for as long as she can, holding on to the game that’s shaped so much of her life. “I want to do this as long as possible,” Addie says. “But once my body can no longer do it, I plan to pursue the wealth management path. I interned last summer with UBS Wealth Management, and I realized it’s something I want to continue after college and after soccer.” For now, she’s right where she needs to be: with her team, her second family, and the Alpha Phi sisters who have become part of it all.
