Rochester boasts a vibrant arts and entertainment scene that enriches community life and draws visitors from across the region. At the heart of Rochester’s visual arts is the Rochester Art Center, a contemporary art institution offering rotating exhibitions, workshops, and programs that showcase local, regional, and national artists. Art4Trails is a public art initiative in Rochester that brings original, site specific artwork – both permanent and temporary installations– into the city’s park and trail system. Organized by the Rochester Art Center in partnership with Rochester Parks & Recreation, this initiative makes art accessible outdoors for everyone. Visitors can enjoy sculptures and other public art along the area’s many walking and bike trails, celebrating these creative works dotting the city’s many green spaces, while enriching Rochester’s cultural landscape.
