Introduce trending recreational activities on the City website and in recreational programming. For example, “hide and find games” are popular and can get residents and visitors to different destinations within the city. In 2017, the hide and find games popular are Pokémon Go, painted rocks, and geocaching. Introduce Nature Tourism on the City website, in recreational programming, and into the City’s economic development efforts. Nature Tourism can include bird watching, photography, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and stargazing. Introduce recreation specific to designated groups onto the City website and in recreational programming. These groups should include children, teens, adults, seniors, people with special needs, athletes, and dog owners.
