Introduction The most significant theme that was present throughout feedback and collaboration with the community during the update process was the need and desire for more trails and sidewalks of varying types. Trails and sidewalks serve many functions relating to mobility and connectivity, recreation, leisure, quality of life, and wellness—all vital to achieve the vision of the Rowlett community. This Plan goes to great lengths to honor the feedback received from the community by providing specific and actionable strategies to encourage the construction of additional trails and sidewalks within the City.
