5.2.8 APPLICATION FOR AN ONION IMPORT LICENSE REQUIREMENTS FOR NATURAL PERSONS AND LEGAL ENTITIES: a. The importer must send to the e-mail solicitud.licencia.cebolla@gmail.com in PDF format without erasures and legible, the backup information that has been requested for the issuance of the Onion Import Licenses. b. The name or business name, phone, fax number, e-mail and company address. c. Onion Importer Registration Number (NRIC) d. If a legal entity, name of the legal representative and certified true copy of the minute of declaration of his appointment. e. Power of attorney in which the person in charge of submitting the application for the license, must be signed by the manager or legal representative of the company.

ACTIVITY • DGIEPC receives each request from the person in charge of the counter and is recorded in the onion import log book. • Verification and analysis of the information: such as the name of the applicant, business name, legal representative, trade name of the product, technical description of the product, quantity to be imported in KG or pounds and other documents required under the applicable legislation. • Return to the legal representative in case of incomplete, erroneous or illegible information. • With the complete documentation, the Import License for onions is issued and signed. • Delivery of the License to the Legal Agent or designated of the company, prior notification and stamping of same • After the licenses have been issued, a monthly monitoring report is sent to the DEI. END OF PROCESS
