6. SPECIAL PERMITS

6.12 OBTAINING PERMITS AT THE HONDURAN INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY AND MINES (INHGEOMIN) APPLICATION FOR A BENEFIT The Benefit includes the physical, chemical, and/or physicochemical processes performed to extract or concentrate valuable parts of an aggregate of minerals and/or to purify, melt, or refine metals. The Concession of Benefit, grants the right to carry out any of the following processes: a. Mechanical separation b. Metallurgy c. Refining In order to promote the installation of mineral processing plants, the State may grant the necessary incentives for the achievement of this purpose, in accordance with the Law. REQUIREMENTS: a. A descriptive report of the plant and the main, auxiliary and complementary facilities, indicating the type of the mineral to be treated, installed capacity per day, processing method, reagents, the nature of the final products, waste, distance to nearest towns or agricultural areas and the plant flowchart. b. Drawings and longitudinal cuts on a scale of 1:500 of the works described above. c. Water use authorization. d. Environmental License. *The above requirements are also requested to any mining concession holder seeking to receive a benefit. *The time in which the procedure is carried out: once the application submitted and accomplished the technical requirements indicated in the previous article, the authority will proceed to resolve within fifteen (15) days. 6.12.1 EXPLORATION CONCESSION PERMITS Depending on their activity, the mining concessions can be for Exploration, Exploitation and/or Profit. At the same time, according to the substance of interest, they can be metallic, non-metallic, gems or precious stones. REQUIREMENTS: a. A full identification of the applicant and ability to exercise acts of ownership. b. Description of the vertices of the requested area. c. Substance(s) of interest.
