6. SPECIAL PERMITS

6.13.2 REGISTER OF FISHING VESSELS Vessels engaged in National Fisheries must comply with Agreements DGMM 021-2015 and DGMM 09-2016. REQUIREMENTS: Vessels engaged in International Fisheries must also submit: a. At the time of applying for the Provisional Patent, prove of being on the list of the Regional Fisheries Agency (CICAA or CIAT). b. Authorization from the Honduran Directorate-General for Fisheries and Aquaculture (DIGEPESCA). Owners, renters, shipowners, who have an interest in registering a vessel in Honduras, must apply for registration with the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine through a legal professional authorized to exercise in Honduras. The documents that must accompany the request may be presented in an authenticated copy, for the sole purpose of obtaining the Provisional Navigation Certificate. Such a copy must be replaced by the original documents for the final registration. Validity: Six (6) months REQUIREMENTS: a. Submit application Form, which can be found in the Document Receipt and Customer Service Section of the main offices in Tegucigalpa. b. Public Deed duly legalized if applicable, or power of attorney duly authenticated. c. Original or certified copy of property title, lease agreement, or legal act proving the rightful ownership of the ship. c. Comply with DGMM Resolution 024/2003. d. Comply with DGMM Agreement 002/2007. PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION

d. Tonnage Certificate (only applicable to ships larger than 78 feet or 24 meters in length), according to ITC Convention 69. In case of smaller vessels, the Recognized Organization (O.R) chosen by the Shipowner, shall issue a "Non-Convention" Certificate or, failing that, the DGMMmay issue a record of "Simplified Tonnage Calculation", but only and exclusively in these cases. e. In the case of a cargo ship or passengers, submit the Third-Party Damage Insurance Policy. f. Submit a Seaworthiness Class Confirmation Certificate issued by a classification or inspection company authorized by the DGMM, if the ship is over 20 years old, duly endorsed where applicable. g. Certify the inspection carried out by the Harbor Captain Inspector (for national ships) 6.13.3 REGISTRATION OF COMPANIES ENGAGED IN MARITIME ACTIVITIES REQUIREMENTS: a. Application for Registration. b. Company or Merchant´s Articles of Incorporation, duly registered. c. Operation Permit, issued by the concerned Municipality d. Power of attorney, duly authenticated e. Third party civil liability insurance policy, depending on the activity. f. A copy of a receipt from the National Electricity Company (ENEE, for its acronym in Spanish). g. Register company´s cell phone, landline telephone, exact address and e-mail. h. Register cell phone and landline of the company’s legal representative.
