While traipsing through the European continent John Hutton was invited to the studio of famed artist, Pii, in the small city of Tegelen, located in the southern Netherlands. John became instantly enamored with this mysterious alchemist. John recognized Pii’s aesthetic as a successful mix of contemporary de- sign that drew from classical and natural themes; similar to John’s own design sensibility. John and Pii began what would become a lifelong collaboration creating the PiiArt Collection. Pii’s intense attention to detail results in a level of quality rarely seen in any system of manufacturing.
