What I did: Responsible for supporting the project/cost accountant and senior accountants with all clerical, administrative, and accounting functions within the organization. This includes performing clerical and administrative tasks, including processing records and recording transactions, mail/document management, preparing reports and fielding communications with co-workers, clients, and vendors, fact- checking, booking-keeping, electronic filing, and other duties, as needed. What I liked: I have enjoyed almost every aspect of my internship, but I think what I like most is the ability to work in a professional setting. This has allowed me to experience a work environment outside of retail and I am learning a substantial amount. Not only about the job itself but how offices and people function in this setting. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and it has made me feel more prepared for the future.
Future Dream Job: Either an investment banker or professor.
