A Journey Through the Places, People & Moments I’ll Remember
Thereare some placesyou visit. And then there are places that stay with you. I saw pieces of my culture woven into the very fabric of the streets of Cartagena. Everywhere I looked, there was vibrant color and life-fruit stands, street vendors, cafés, and shops filled with the energy of tourists eager to experience everything Cartagena had to offer. From the moment my feet touched Colombian soil, I knew I was about to experience one of the best vacations I had ever taken. Filled with enthusiasm and eager to explore, I quickly unpacked, headed out, and hit the streets of Getsemaní. Perhaps it was the energy. The constant movement. The people coming and going, the sounds of the city, the shops and cafés lining the streets, and the feeling that there was always somewhere else to go and something else to discover. Eventually, my journey through Colombia led me to Bogotá, where I would finish my Colombian adventure. And, surprisingly, there was something about the streets of Bogotá that reminded me of New York.
By the time I reached Bogotá, I wasn't simply visiting Colombia anymore. I had experienced it — one city, one street, one conversation, and one unforgettable moment at a time. From Cartagena to Bogota’. And perhaps that is what I will remember most: Colombia didn't just give me places to photograph. It gave me experiences to remember.
Let’s revisit Cartagena... for now.
