How CAPSENS 2.0 Sensor Works CAPSENS 2.0 Electronic Touch Switch has been developed with touch capacitive technology that makes possible to turn on, turn off and dim the light intensity with a simple touch. Configured to control both 12Vdc and 24Vdc LED luminaires, it also offers a ‘flash’ function that indicates that maximum light intensity has been reached, and ‘level memory’ function that memorizes the light intensity level. It is designed to be hidden behind a panel. Supplied with 2 metre power and switch cables, and a distributor block, CAPSENS 2.0 is truly the way forward in LED control. CAPSENS 2.0 must be connected in line between the power supply and LED fittings. Turn on and off simply by contact of the hand with the surface below which CAPSENS 2.0 is applied. With a prolonged touch, it is possible to regulate the light intensity (dimmer function). A short flash of CAPSENS 2.0 indicates that maximum light intensity has been reached. The light intensity level will be memorized until it is next reset (level memory). The ‘activation’ area is about 50mm diameter and the maximum thickness of the material on which CAPSENS 2.0 is installed must not be more than 30mm for wood, 12mm for glass or 20mm for plastic. CAPSENS 2.0 also integrates the functions ‘soft-start’ and ‘soft-stop’ and will automatically turn off after about 18 hours. A further feature of the CAPSENS 2.0 is ‘auto-on’ that automatically turns on the connected LED fittings at the previously set luminosity. This function is especially useful for the automatic turning on of a collection of lights, for example in a show room. When the main switches are turned on, the LED lights will activate at their various pre-set brightness levels.

*This data is indicative of the sensitivity of CAPSENS 2.0 and can increase or decrease dependant on the composition of the material to which the sensor is applied. CAPSENS 2.0 cannot be installed on or behind metallic surfaces. For other materials such as granite, marble and composites, it is recommended that a preliminary test is carried out before final installation.
