Checkmate Chess Ages 5-10 Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Also, chess has been proven to enhance children’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. No previous knowledge of chess is necessary. Both new and returning participants are welcome and will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. There will also be a chess competition with prizes! While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. Additionally, you can sign up for this class again and again since brand new tricks are always taught at each session! Each child gets to take a magic kit home with them. Sinfully Delicious Decorating Fun Ages 5-10 Join owner and decorator, Kathleen Gibson, as you learn to decorate fun holiday cakes. Eight inch 2-layer cakes and decorating supplies will be provided.
