“ SO RUN THAI Y E MAY OBTAIN”
A NUMBER OF ENTRIES HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE IN THE
Race for the $350.00 Scholarship and we are anticipating many more. One young woman (who, by the way, is already a student at the Institute and desirous of obtaining the scholar ship for her second year) has adopted the plan of writing a le tter-to -h er friends, enclosing poem composed by herself. together with* a subscription blánk. After telling sof her purpose to prepáre herself for definite Christian ^ivo'rki she suggests that perhaps her friends would like to have a share /in such preparation, and tells hów this may be done. ..... FULL DETAILS were given in the February King’s Business, but for the benefit of new sub scribers we would say that this Scholarship Contest was suggested by a sub scriber as the most practical way of increasing ourrsubscription list: to : 100,000 " giving as his reason for believing the plan would be effective, the following . “The way to get people to do a desired thing is to offer A re- f v .w$jrd worthy of real, earnest effort. Make the proposition ^ so attractive that those appealed to cannot afford to ignore it.” WE ARE SURE that no young man or woman who desires to preparé himself or herself for -Christian work, or any Young 'People’s Society^ Sunday School, Missionary Society or church organization which is interested in such, á person, can AFFORD TO IGNORE this wonderful opportunity. Briefly, the plan is..as follows: A year’s scholarship entitling the recipient to a year’s room and board (tuition is free) in •the Bible Institute &f Los Angeles will be given to the person sending in the largest nuriiber of NEW subscrip tions to The. King’s Business during the period from January 1, 1923 to August 31, 1923. A SECOND-and THIRD award will also be made. Full information as to rules governing the contest, etc., will be cheer fully mailed upon application to the CONTEST MANAGER KING’S BUSINESS OFFICE.
