We often find such cases. Sometimes it is the wife opposing the a » a&
husband and sometimes the husband op posing the wife, but praise God, His Word is powerful. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived and bare Enoch.” “Now,” we say, “my friend, th is is not your trouble; your trouble is described by Jesus, ‘L ight is come into the world, but men loved darkness rath e r th an light because their, deeds are EVIL.’ Your trouble is SIN.” Then the Gospel is preached to the group which has gathered to h ear the bully make a fool out of the missionary. The devil often oversteps himself, bringing many w ithin the sound of th e Gospel in such instances. How encouraging it is to see men take a stand for Christ righ t then and th ere; to see others under con viction and often many of th eir own gang tu rn on th e bully, exposing his life, thus confirming what the worker has said. Joy of Meeting Saints There is very, often ano th er class which we do love to meet. Men who love and tru st the Lord Jesus bu t are in th e m idst of persecution. On one ship th e moment we opened our valise one of th e men spoke up and asked, “Can you get a Bible for me? Peace, re st and happiness were theirs because they had surrendered to the Lord. Not an abundance of fru it was g ath ered, yet th e seed was sown and we know God will give some one th e in crease. Most fru it must be hand-picked these days. Men do not tu rn to Christ in crowds such as those th a t attend the movies or a debauching prize fight, but they must be won, one by one. “ If you get the one Next to you, And I get the one Next to me, In no time a t all, We’ll get them all; And win them , win them, One by one.” Same Old Excuses The same old excuses have been of fered. “There is so much in th e Bible 1 cannot understand.” “ Of course,” we answer, “F o r th e n atu ra l man receiveth not th e things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him ; n either can he know them , because they are spiritually discerned.” I Cor. 2:14. “Therefore, if any man he in Christ, he is a new creatu re: old things are passed aw ay; behold, all things become new.” 2 Cor. 5:17.
