having an excuse. He didn’t w ant to go; instead of being "eager to act as heaven’s messenger, to be God’s errand boy, he wanted to excuse himself. The Lord humored him and gave him an in terp reter, gave him Aaron. But th is slow-of-speech man became Talk about G ladstone’s power to speak! H ere is a man one hundred and tw enty years old, and he waxed eloquent, as we see in D euter onomy 32:1-4. , He tu rn ed out to be one of th e most eloquent men the world has ever seen. If God sends men and they deliver His message He will be w ith th e ir mouth. If God has given you a message, go and give it to th e people as God has given it to you. It is a stupid th ing for a man to try to be eloquent. Make your message, and not yourself, th e most prom inent thing. Don’t be self-con- ' scious. Set your h eart on w h at God has given you to do, and don’t be so foolish as to let your own difficulties or your own abilities stand in th e way. Next Moses said: “O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou w ilt send.” Did you ever stop to th ink what Moses would have lost if God had taken him a t his word, and said: “Very well, Moses; you may stay here in th e desert, and I will send Aaron, or Joshua, or Caleb!” Moses, you come back and tell us if you were afterw ard s sorry th a t God had called you. I th ink th a t when he stood in glorified body on th e Mount of T ransfiguration w itth Jesu s and E li jah, he did not reg ret it. My dear friends, God is, not con fined to any one messenger. We are told th a t He can raise up children out of stones. Some one has said th a t th ere are th ree classes of people, the “w ills,” the “won’ts,” and th e “can’ts ” ; th e first accomplish everything, the second oppose everything, and the th ird fail in everything. If God calls you, consider it a g reat honor. Con sider it a g reat privilege to have p a rt nership w ith Him in anything. Do it cheerfully, gladly. Do it w ith all your heart, and He will bless you. Don’t let false modesty or insincerity, self- in terest, or any personal considera tion tu rn you aside from the path of duty and sacrifice. If we listen foi God’s voice, we shall h ear th e call; and if He calls and sends us, th e re will be no such th ing as failure, b u t suc eloquent.

Away over in Egypt th e re is a big river called th e Nile. One day some people were walking along th e BEGINNERS shore, and they saw AND PRIMARY something in the Mabel L. M errill river. It was some th ing th a t God was greatly interested in, and He wap watch ing it very carefully. Now le t us bow our heads and th a n k God for his lov ing watch and care over us. Lesson Story.H-We had such a good tim e last week hearing about Joseph and his kindness to his b ro th ers who treated him so cruelly, and we saw th a t it was because Joseph loved God and obeyed Him, th a t he loved his wicked b ro thers and forgave and helped them . Years have passed since Joseph and th e king th a t was kind to him and his people lived, an d another king ‘is ruling. The new king had never known Joseph, and when he saw how many th e re were of th e children of Israel, he was afraid of them . So th is wicked king persuaded the people of Egypt to tre a t the Children of Israel very cruelly. They made them slaves, and they had to work very hard, bu t th e h ard e r they worked, th e more th ere came to be of them , for we remember th a t God prom ised Abraham he would be the fath er of a great nation, and now God was doing as He promised. Then Kinig Pharaoh told th e women who took care of the Israelite’s little children, to kill all th e little boys as soon as they were born, but these women loved God, and would not obey the king.
