DAMN PHONE. This one makes me want to scream. SO MANY PTs don’t answer their phones! And patients are not going to wait for you to call back. If you’re not available, you NEED to have a friendly, competent front desk person answering the phone during business hours. Full stop. FAILING TO MARKET TO YOUR PAST PATIENT LIST. Every PT has a shocking gold mine at their fingertips…but most of them never uncover it. 3 That’s right. I’m talking about your list of past patients. It is cheaper and faster to get a past patient back in the clinic vs attracting a new patient. To boost patient retention, reactivations, and referrals, you need to reach out to past patients monthly via email marketing, social media, and print and digital newsletters.
Your marketing needs to be patient-centric. For example…
• On your website, replace photos of your empty clinic with patients doing sports, playing with grandchildren, etc • Feature patient testimonials on your home page and all over your website
