Essential/Desirable
Qualifications/Education Professionally qualified in an engineering, facilities management, built environment or appropriate technical subject in addition to relevant professional experience.
Relevant health and safety qualification and training
Relevant training in subject areas relating to engineering and estates technical assurance and compliance, preferably to include fire safety, water safety, electrical safety, asbestos management, COSHH etc
Previous Experience Substantial experience of operating in a senior management role in an engineering maintenance context and providing compliance and monitoring services at a senior level in a large, complex environment. Comprehensive specialist technical knowledge relating to mechanical and electrical building services in commercial/ industrial or health buildings. Substantial experience of managing large complex capital projects from inception to completion including management of revenue and capital budgets. Fully conversant with the statutory and legal requirements that impact on building owners and occupiers. Demonstrate a good knowledge of budget/financial Management. Substantial staff management experience which will include external contractors and their effective management. Previous experience in NHS. Knowledge of technical memorandums, building notes and other NHS guidance
