Zenith has been working with Cemex since 2013, providing major inspection, maintenance, and repair services at their Rugby cement plant in Warwickshire. These projects take place during the typical 6-week shutdown period. Zenith is a multi-disciplined contractor, offering clients a single point of contact during critical shutdown timeframes. Our services range from structural engineering to on-site execution. We also provide a safe and comprehensive bespoke access solution, which saves significant time and money.

Zenith Consultants assessed the roof’s structure and calculated potential loadings.

Zenith Structural Access Solutions was awarded the contract, to install a temporary by-pass steel stack braced to the concrete chimney windshield to enable internal brickworks to be carried out whilst allowing the plant to continue operation. The design, supply and installation of the temporary bypass stack was performed inhouse by Zenith to the client’s specification.

A custom suspended platform as design for safe roof access, supported by a runway system that could move along the building as the replacement work progressed. The design was tailored to the client’s needs, including material loading and unloading locations for safe and cost-effective removal of hazardous roof sheeting.
