Janaína Salles (cellist): Master in cello from the Hochschule Musik Luzern, in Lucerne, Switzerland, class of Marek Jerie (Guarnieri Trio Prague), and bachelor's degree in the instrument from the Conservatoire Supérieur et Académie de Musique Tibor Varga, class of Márcio Carneiro, in Sion, Switzerland, obtaining mention "avec distinction du jury". In Brazil, she studied with Alceu Reis and was awarded a scholarship from the Vitae Foundation 3 times to carry out her studies abroad, as well as an annual award from the Konservatoriumsverein Luzern for completing her master's degree. In Switzerland she was a student of Gabor Tákacs-Nagy and Paul Coker in chamber music, and performed in several orchestras, including the Orchester de Chambre du Valais, the Sinfonietta de Lausanne and the Orchester des Jeunesses Musicales de Saint-Maurice. She recorded the 7 string quartets by Swiss composer Guy Kummer-Nicolussi in 2007 (Catai Quartets). She is the founder of the quintet Tango Sensations, which has been active in Switzerland and France since 2006. With the ensemble, she recorded the CD "Milonga Loca" in 2009, as well as concerts invited by Radio Suisse Romande. At the invitation of SESC, she formed the Belmonte Quarteto, which took the music of Edino Krieger and the Contemporary Music Biennials to all states in Brazil. She was a substitute cello professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and is a member of the Gaia Trio, the Clarice Quartet, and is first cello in the UFF National Symphony Orchestra.
