The course starts with a visual tour of a hard-rock mine. In six segments, the course will provide the student with an understanding of the exploration and development process, environmental issues, industry economics, the permitting/ regulatory process, and public issues. The course is designed for participate in portions of the industry but would benefit from an overview, those who may one day work in the industry.
