Looking ahead, we see a bright future for mining in Alaska. With the right balance of permitting and regula- tory certainty, our state can continue to lead in responsible resource develop- ment. For UCM, that means moderniz- ing operations, expanding reclamation programs, and building stronger part- nerships with educational institutions and community organizations. We have invested millions in elec- trical system upgrades and continue to explore opportunities to integrate sustainable technologies alongside traditional energy sources. Our engi- neering team is also developing a plan to relocate the Ace-in-the-Hole, our 2,100-ton dragline and Alaska’s largest piece of land-moving equipment, to the Jumbo Dome mine, where our primary coal mining activities are now focused.
