The Alaska Miners Association Political Action Committee (AMAPAC) works to elect pro-mining legislators to the Alaska State Legislature. As the chair of AMAPAC, I ask you to join me in helping protect our way of life as miners, businesspeople, environmental stewards, and Alaskans. It has never been clearer that elections matter. In past years, multiple pieces of legislation attacking miners and burdening our businesses were attempted, and thankfully, with advocacy from AMA and strong leaders in the legislature, none were successful. AMAPAC made a significant impact in last year’s election cycle: n $14,350 raised n $15,650* Contributed to 26 Candidates (23 Republicans and 3 Democrats) (*carry forward from 2019) n 41 Individuals Donated to AMAPAC (10 were AMA Board Members)
