Kinross Alaska Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month
USIBELLI.COM
In October, Kinross Alaska employees wore pink in observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness. The week was filled with awareness activities, including a pink-themed breakfast with information tables, an employee-led fundraiser for the Breast Cancer
Detection Center of Alaska, and an investment in the next BCDC mobile mammogram truck. The site also welcomed seven local women affected by breast cancer to a special pink blast! Breast Cancer Awareness Month runs through October.
The foundation of Interior Alaska's economy is built on a powerful rock - coal. Alaskans save hundreds of millions of dollars by relying on coal, our most abundant and affordable source of energy. For more than 75 years, the people of Usibelli Coal Mine have proudly provided light and warmth to Alaskans.
