More Exceptional Arctic Drill Results

Assays Affirm Consistent High-Grade Zones for Early Mining

North of 60 Mining News Trilogy Metals Inc. Feb. 27 reported another batch of high-grade assays from infill drilling the world-class Arctic copper-zinc-lead-gold-silver deposit in the Ambler Mining District of Northwest Alaska. “The latest infill and geotechnical holes continue to demonstrate very high grades of polymetallic metals over impressive widths in the shallowest parts of the deposit,” said Trilogy Metals President and CEO Tony Giardini. The high-grade volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit at Arctic is slated to be developed into the first mine at the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects, a 448,217-acre package of state and Alaska Native lands being advanced by Ambler Metals LLC – an equally owned joint venture between Trilogy and Australia-based South32 Ltd. A recently updated feasibility study details plans for a mine at Arctic slated to produce 1.93 billion pounds of copper, 2.24 billion lb of zinc, 334.8 million lb of lead, 423,000 ounces of gold, and 36 million oz of silver over an initial 13 years of mining.

Highlights from the latest batch of 15 infill and two geotechnical holes include: n 4.33 meters averaging 7.5 percent copper, 9.49 percent zinc, 1.58 percent lead, 3.38 g/t gold, and 126.3 g/t silver in hole AR22-0198. n 7.76 meters averaging 4.52 percent copper, 6.42 percent zinc, 1.39 percent lead, 0.6 g/t gold, and 66.2 g/t silver in hole AR22-0202. n 4.8 meters averaging 6.54 percent copper, 5.68 percent zinc, 0.69 percent lead, 0.79 g/t gold, and 44.4 g/t silver in hole AR22-0209. n 7.28 meters averaging 8.56 percent copper, 9.59 percent zinc, 1.74 percent lead, 1.37 g/t gold, and 111 g/t silver in hole AR22-0212. n 15.44 meters averaging 3.92 percent copper, 5.22

The 2022 Arctic infill program was designed to upgrade indicated resources in high-grade areas of the deposit that would be mined during the first years of production under the 2023 Arctic feasibility study the higher confidence measured resource category. “The results indicate mineralization is very continuous, especially in Zone 5 which typically contains higher grades and most consistent thicknesses at Arctic,” said Trilogy Metals Vice President of Exploration Richard Gosse.

This operation is based on 46.7 million metric tons of probable reserves averaging 2.11 percent copper, 2.9 percent zinc, 0.56 percent lead, 0.42 grams per metric tons gold, and 31.8 g/t silver. A 10,738-meter drill program carried out at UKMP during 2022 included 8,376 meters at Arctic, the most ever drilled at this advance staged mine project in a single field season. Highlights from previously released 2022 holes drilled at Arctic include: n 9.63 meters averaging 3.58 percent copper, 5.89 percent zinc, 1.07 percent lead, 0.32 g/t gold, and 53.5 g/t silver in hole AR22-0192. n 5.55 meters averaging 3.84 percent copper, 7.4 percent zinc, 1.37 percent lead, 0.36 g/t gold, and 63.7 g/t silver in hole AR22-0195. n 6.72 meters averaging 3.4 percent copper, 3.26 percent zinc, 0.48 percent lead, 0.36 g/t gold, and 32.7 g/t silver in hole AR22-0201. n 8.24 meters averaging 3.19 percent copper, 10.04
