What I did: Held meetings with clients and went over their current situation, what they value in the future as well as now, and gather what they have financially now so that we can start creating a plan. Requires you to be on the phone calling close family members or referrals. Prospecting is huge and that is one of the number one duties in this position. Also learned how to create plans through Northwestern Mutual’s system, as well as understanding all the different aspects of the system. What I liked: Mainly the people that I was around on a day-to-day basis, and everyone that was willing to meet with me went super well. It was also a massive learning experience for me as I was able to have many conversations throughout the summer regarding mindset, strategies, and a multitude of other topics with advisors in the agency.
Future Dream Job: Financial planner or some type of executive.
