TITLE Intern (Practice)
What I did: I performed the participant data testing for four employee benefit plan (EBP) audits this summer. I additionally assisted on two healthcare audits and one healthcare review engagement. I worked on two large data entry projects for our tax software and also completed two partnership tax returns. What I liked: I liked that I got the opportunity to perform some of the tasks that full-time staff accountants at the firm carry out daily. I got the chance to work with client financial statements and documentation and gained a large breadth of audit experience. I became familiar with various types of data entry software that the firm uses to input client information and generate deliverables.
Future Dream Job: Controller or CFO.
