Leadership Skills
Our leadership training catalog focuses on critical skills such as performance assessment, effective communications, strategic planning, talent management, business acumen, and building a positive work environment. In 2024, we expanded several of our most popular courses for current and aspiring leaders, including: Speechworks. This series is designed to build employees’ verbal communication skills and confidence. We offer an introductory course for people whose roles typically do not involve public speaking and another course geared toward persuasive speaking in roles such as sales and customer service.
At Trex, we are committed to helping our team members grow, develop new skills, and reach their career goals. Our Trex Academy learning management system, launched in 2024, offers a personalized and engaging way to learn. Through this platform, team members can complete courses, earn badges for milestones, and easily track their training progress over time. We also conduct annual performance reviews for all our salaried employees. These reviews help identify individual growth opportunities and support continuous learning and career development.
In 2024, we expanded the array of leadership development, role- based training, and self-guided learning opportunities available to employees. As part of our commitment to ensuring that all team members feel valued, we launched a new recognition program and further refined our employee engagement channels. In addition, we introduced a new Accountability Index via our Gallup survey tool for measuring our leaders’ progress toward improving employee engagement through action planning and removing barriers to success across the organization.
