AMERIPEN’s Annual Summit Highlights Industry Collaboration AMERIPEN concluded its 2025 Annual Summit, bringing nearly 150 industry leaders to the nation’s capital for three days of advocacy, education, and strategic collaboration. Held June 10-12, this year’s Summit marked a critical mo- ment as packaging policy continues to evolve, and the country’s first packaging extended producer responsibility (EPR) laws are being implemented. Lynn Dyer, Executive Director of AMERIPEN, said that the Summit provided members an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and regulatory staff. The event opened with AMERIPEN’s largest-ever Cap- itol Hill delegation, with 60 members educating federal policymakers in nearly 40 meetings. Conversations fo- cused on the need for a federal solution to address the growing patchwork of state labeling requirements. The Summit concluded with a Member Workshop, where members reflected on accomplishments, shared feedback, and helped chart AMERIPEN’s strategic direc- tion for the year ahead.
