People & Places EyeC Matthew Wilkins has been appointed National Sales Man- ager for the United Kingdom and Ireland for print image inspection systems provider EyeC. Wilkins will oversee all sales operations across the UK and Ireland, with a particular focus on expanding EyeC’s presence and footprint in the region. Upon join- ing EyeC, he will report directly to Dr Ansgar Kaupp, CEO of EyeC GmbH, and Markus Fietkau, Sales Director. With more than 20 years of international experience in sales and marketing management, Wilkins has worked in various industries, including Financial Services, Digital Me- dia, and Healthcare. His most recent positions have been with the 3M PLC Food Safety Division and the 3M Safety and Industrial Business Group. Buirds joined Edale in 2024 as General Manager, with expertise in Operations, Commercial and Change Management. Buirds is now charged with taking Edale through the next stage of its growth strategy.

GCEA To Celebrate 100 Years At Summer Meeting The Graphic Communications Education Association’s (GCEA) annual conference will be held July 20-23 in Al- pharetta, Georgia. This year the conference will be hosted by both HEIDELBERG USA and HP at their facilities located just north of Atlanta. The conference is open to all educators and people with a passion for education in the graphic arts.
