God’s Wandering Children (Conclusion)

open. The loading ramp for the truck was ex- tended and the far end was supported by a metal stand. This cre- ates a very convenient and stable worktable. We tie a display to the end of the ramp. We have done this many times. It is tied solid, so if a wind comes up it will not blow the display over. Wayne was working on one side of the ramp and I was on the other side. Hadassah was in- side the truck and she lit some of the sage. Al- most immediately, the display was hit and landed flat on the ground. Then there was a very loud “sneeze” from the woods across the highway. If the three of us had not seen this with our own eyes, I do not know if I would have believed what had just happened. The display was very securely fas- tened to the ramp and the rope that held it there was not untied and it was not broken. The rope had literally passed through the frame of the ramp and the stand that was hold- ing the ramp in place. The stand was still in place. Solid had just passed through solid and did not damage anything in the process! Wayne was sleeping that night in the tipi and he had a dream. A child spirit appeared to him and told him “You better get out of here! You are no fun to play with.” The next morning, we did just that. We packed up and left Tommy to find someone else to play with. This event was a huge eye- opener to the fact that the spirit world can and will interact with our world. This is our 45th arti- cle about our travels and the experiences we have had. Most of our days were quiet and uneventful, but every once in a while, some strange things hap- pened. Much of it had

God intervening some- how and then there were instances like I just described that were lessons learned. We spent the winter in Tennessee and that is where our first article, back in November 2021, about our cross country walk began. God has shown us much and changed us through the things He has allowed us to do. This will be the last article from our travels and I want to thank anyone that has fol- lowed us. It would be neat to hear from some of you.

We can only hope and pray that something we have shared has touched a life and given hope to someone. God is with all of us, but it is different for each of us. As I try to come up with Scripture, I realize there is no Scripture any more fitting than the one we close every article with. “For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, ‘Fear not; I will help thee.’” (Isaiah 41:13 KJV).

By Harry and Hadassah Wilkinson April 2026 Two damaged lives, a yellow truck, an open road, and a life we never could have imagined. A few months ago, we met a couple that asked us to set up at their roadside business. They have a small museum attached to their home. This setup turned out to be the most eye-opening encounter with the spirit world that we had during our travels. We set up in a very well kept large yard alongside the highway. Across the highway was a heavily wooded area. There was an old stone foundation that once held a barn that had ei- ther burned down or just simply fell down. The debris had been cleaned up but it was full of weeds. That “grotto” was the “home” of local spirit residents. I cannot prove that, but we have been around them so much that you get to where you can feel their presence. There was also the neatest outhouse that we have had the privi- lege of using. It had a very fancy curtain, a small rug, and water to wash your hands. The door did not fit quite right. It was sprung, so it wanted to swing open. There was a latch on the inside and a simple piece of wood on the outside that had a screw close to the end so it would swing free and hang straight down when the door was latched from the inside. When the door was

closed from the outside, the outdoor wood latch was swung horizontal and the ill-fitting door would push against the latch keeping the door closed. That was a rather lengthy explana- tion, but keep it in mind because it is im- portant later. One of our boys trav- eled with us this time. It is the first time any of our children did that. Wayne is also very aware of the spirit world. We explained to him that we have had many encounters and he should not be sur- prised if something strange happens. Hadassah went into the outhouse and when she tried to leave, the door was locked from the outside. Remember what I said about the outside latch? Gravity had it hanging straight down unless the door was pushing against it. Hadassah had the door latched on the inside so the door was closed tight against the frame. The outdoor latch defied gravity and blocked the door from being opened. When the inside latch was unhooked, the door opened just enough to see the out- door latch was blocking the door. She banged on the door and the out- door latch did finally fall out of the way. That was a minor incident com- pared to what happened next. Sage has been used for a very long time as a room freshener. It does eliminate odors and seems to cleanse the air. It was a beautiful warm day and we had the back doors of the truck
