WACHESAW PLANTATION EAST Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East is a Clyde Johnston designed, championship 18-hole course styled in the time-honored fashion of the great Scottish links. Home to four nationally-televised LPGA Tour events, the course is surrounded by freshwater lakes and natural wetlands. The Scottish influence is felt through the strategically placed bunkers, rolling fairways and traditional mounding. The green of the par 4, 430-yard No. 18 bends slightly around a small pond, leaving most to consider it one of the course’s most challenging holes. Wachesaw is located in Murrells Inlet, a historic fishing village resting on the Atlantic Ocean known as the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina.” You’’ll stay at the nearby Hampton Inn Murrells Inlet, just one mile south of Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Club. Easy access to the beach, restaurants, shopping and entertainment await guests in Murrells Inlet.
PALMETTO HALL PLANTATION Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Two Carolina classic courses can be discovered at Palmetto Hall. Here, you’ll find a distinctive architecture with straight lines, unusual shapes and unique bunkering. Immerse yourself in the natural wonder of the Carolina coast at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa. Only 10 minutes from the courses, this recently renovated and updated beachfront resort features five eateries, including the Carolina Room, famous for its seafood creations. Recharge at the Heavenly Spa and take the waters at three swimming pools, complimenting the seaside views and raw beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.
