PETER CHERRY With 30 years of experience, Peter began his career at the College of Boca Raton, where he was N.A.I.A. All-American. He won the Tillman award in 1984 and the Wes Burnham award for Sportsmanship in 1987. Peter won several PGA Championships and in excess of 60 Pro-Ams, including the Herefordshire Professionals Championship in 1992 and the England PGA East Region Order of Merit in 2003. He is the holder of five course records, while most recently having qualified for the 2021 Senior British Open Championship. Peter has held three very prestigious positions at prominent English Clubs: Harpenden Golf Club, Royal MidSurrey Golf Club and Ashridge Golf Club. He has coached an extensive list of competitive golfers, including a Walker Cup squad member and has also been the Golf Union County coach for Hertfordshire.

BRIAN NEWMAN A Class A member of the PGA, Brian successfully launched two golf academies in Fort Myers, FL after 17 years of teaching up to 1,000 hours a year. He now serves as the Head Coach at Aileron Golf Club. Brian’s highly distinctive background includes working both as a certified personal trainer and golf fitness and coordination specialist for over ten years, with several certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute. This enables him to enhance a golfer’s physical condition and ball flight in a single session by evaluating any limitations and refining their movements during instructional lessons. He also excels at interpreting data for golfers of all proficiencies to optimize their long-term swing enhancements.

JIM TERRY With 40 years of experience, Jim has been a member of the PGA of America since 1982. In the early 1980’s Jim was the Teaching Professional at fabled Hazeltine National in Chaska, MN. Jim continued as the Head Professional at the Brainerd Golf Club before spending a decade at Rolling Green Country Club. Jim founded the very successful Mobile Golf Schools and was also the host of the “Rub of the Green” TV shows. Jim finished in the Top Ten Money List of the Minnesota Section PGA five times and was the winner of several Pro-Ams and Section events. Jim served on the Minnesota Section PGA’s Board of Directors on two occasions and has been very active in helping youth programs and local charities. Jim’s Teaching Philosophy LEARN MORE AMY BENZ With 40 years of experience, Amy’s idol was LPGA Hall of Famer, Amy Alcott, who she ultimately paired with one year in the final group of the U.S. open. Amy was an All American at SMU and winner of the AIAW National Championship in her sophomore year. Amy was the medalist and the runner-up in the USGA Junior Girls and a member of both the victorious Curtis and World Cups in 1982. She would go on to have a very successful career on the LPGA Tour, where she won the 1998 Mixed Team Championship and recorded six runner-up finishes. Amy had two wins on the Japanese Tour and finished her career as an all-time Top 100 Money Winner of the LPGA Tour amassing over $1.4 million in prize money. Amy played with all-time great, Lee Trevino in her rookie year on the LPGA Tour in the Mixed Team Championship. She points to Trevino as a major influence with her game and her swing.
