Wendel Livestock - Annual Angus Bull & Female Sale [5/5/26]

WENDEL LIVESTOCK

We would like to invite you to attend our annual production sale to be held at the ranch near LaMoure, May 5th, 2026 at 1:00pm. The bulls will sell first, with the heifers and breds to follow. We have videos of all the sale cattle on dvauction.com and it is linked on our website, wendellivestock.com, which also has photos and supplemental information. DV auction will provide internet bidding, and will have cattle on display before the sale for viewing. All sale lots are available to see anytime so come at your convenience. If unable to make the sale, give us a call anytime. We are having a Pre-Sale viewing and Dinner the evening before the sale, May 4 th from 5-8pm. Come see the offering and have a CAB burger with us. On sale day, come early to view the sale cattle and have CAB brisket with us. Birth, weaning, and yearling weights are taken on a digital scale. The bulls we are offering are fed a high roughage ration and are not overfeed to hold up during the breeding season. This is proven as the bulls scanned an average rib fat of 0.24 this year. All registered lots are parentage verified, AngusGS genomic tested to ensure the most accurate EPDs possible and free of all genetic defects documented and traced by the Amer- ican Angus Association. The bulls are fully guaranteed for the first breeding season and all heifers are guaran- teed breeders. Breeding Soundness Testing is being completed by Dr. Ben Galbreath after catalog printing, and scrotal measurements with updated SC EPD’s will be posted on our website as supplement. Many of the bulls offered for sale are considered suitable for use on heifers. We fatten our steers and genetic customers we have partnered with. We are interested each year, in part- nering with more of our customers that purchase all WL bulls to market through Dakota Angus LLC. Our run over steers are sold to Tyson on the Gene Track Grid and they have performed well year after year. A group of 83 steer mates to the 2024 sale bulls graded: 67(80.7%) Prime, and 81 (97.6%) CAB and Prime, and 83 (100% choice or better). Our feedlot was not very full this past year with feeder steer prices at record levels. However, a partial load of 23 steer mates to 2025 sale bulls graded: 22(95.6%) Prime, and 23 (100%) CAB and Prime. Our attention to adding positive carcass traits to our breeding cattle is paying high dividends in the feedlot. We of- fer our partners the option to market their quality heifers in our sale; the Schroeder Ranch is selling 45 quality commercial replacement heifers this year, if interested in utilizing this opportunity in the future please inquire with one of us. We are dedicated to producing maternally functional cattle that sell for above market prices and are will- ing to assist you in finding the right genetics to further develop your program. We will continue to feed the world the best food source anywhere. We hope to see you at the sale and genuinely appreciate your interest.
