MKL EASTER GUIDE 2021

TRADITIONS WITH EMILY MISS KYREE LOVES EASTER GIFT Guide

Emily is from the Blue Mountains & Mama to James | Molly | Charlotte | Henry Easter and Advent in our family is a time to slow down and spend some time in reflection and observing a change of seasons from Summer into Autumn. As a family, in the lead up to Easter Sunday, we like to spend time on seasonal baking and craft projects. Some of these include creating our autumn Easter table in the lounge room with treasures found in nature such as fallen leaves, pine cones and berries. We make egg shell candles from beeswax to place on our dining table. We also dye our own Easter eggs using natural natural dyes from onion skins, beetroot and tumeric. We enjoy reading autumn and Easter stories and verses we have collected over the years and baking hot cross buns and plaited Easter bread which is delicious. On Easter Sunday we enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch and the children enjoy a treasure hunt to find their Easter baskets. These usually include items such as tulip bulbs to plant, a pair of woolly socks or gloves for the upcoming cold months, a new book, art or craft supplies and a small gift they have asked for.
