MISS KYREE LOVES EASTER GIFT Guide Photography Tips The super talented Thu from Thousand & Fold Photography, explains how to capture those candid Easter morning moments.

My camera settings as a guide: Shutter - 160 (as an absolute minimum with running kids. If your camera allows it, push it higher) F 2.5ISO - dial up or down, it to what you need it to be to allow enough light into the camera. I am normally sitting on 200-400 with the morning light indoors. Continuous Mode/ AI Servo

I’ll hide the eggs in various places & place them near windows or furniture that is toward the light. This gives me an advantage as I place myself near the light source so I can capture all their finds. If you have kids who love to dash and run, I will suggest hiding these eggs a little harder to find so it gives you a extra few seconds to capture those moments.

03 Another tip I learned is that it’s easier to stand in a couple of areas in the house, rather than to follow them around like a mad woman. My approach to special days like these are less styled and perfect, but more real life storytelling. Once the entire flurry has subsided, get on their eye level and capture all the joy in the details. Chubby hands over chocolate, cheeky smiles and chocolate stained pjs. Let kids be kids. You will get those genuine smiles if you just let them make that mess and eat their chocolates. After all how often is it ok to eat chocolate for breakfast!
