SPIKE OUT CANCER $25K FOR PATIENT IN NEED FUND TINIS FOR TATAS PRESENTS There was a very special energy in the crowd of survivors and supporters at this year’s “Tinis for Tatas” event, an initiative of Helen’s Angels. Pictured are Dr. Loveland-Jones and Dr. Teralyn Carter, representing MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The event was held in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The $25K contribution goes to the “Patient in Need” fund which provides small financial assistance grants for transportation, child care, prescriptions and other necessities to cancer patients in need. The grant also provides support for women in cancer treatment who need wigs and cosmetic support while undergoing cancer treatment who could otherwise not afford them.
