Nick Watkins is the Land Manager at EQV Resources in Oklahoma City. He has over twenty-three years of experience in the oil and gas industry working multiple basins across the United States. Nick started as a Field Landman

In 2007, he joined Chesapeake Energy Corporation where he would eventually become the Land Manager of the Rockies Business Unit. After an eleven-year stint at Chesapeake, Nick became the Operations Manager for MidCon Land Services and would later join RKI Energy Resources as a Senior Landman in late 2019. In January, Nick joined EQV as the Land Manager overseeing multiple assets in Wyoming and Texas. While he has worked as a Field and Operations Landman, in A&D and in Exploration, he specializes in federal leases, federal units, and surface. Nick is a member of OCAPL and AAPL, serving as President of OCAPL in 2016. He is currently the Co-Chair of the Majors Mentoring Program at the University of Oklahoma. He was awarded OCAPL’s Landman of the Year in 2018. Outside of the Energy Industry, Nick’s finances and time are dedicated to his two daughters’ softball careers and college education.

Shalynne Jackson is the Founder and Princi- pal Strategist of Sonder Strategies, a consult- ing firm dedicated to strengthening work- place culture by enhancing the employee experience. With a strong commitment

to equity, Shalynne brings extensive experience in implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies across diverse in- dustries—from Fortune 500 corporations to local government and nonprofits. Notably, in 2021 she became the first Chief Equity Of- ficer in one of the nation’s largest City municipalities. Her impactful contributions extend beyond consulting. Shalynne currently serves as the Membership Chair for SHRM’s Oklahoma Human Resourc- es State Council (OKHR) and is a member of Schnake Turnbo Franks’ I&D Advisory Committee. Additionally, she plays a vital role on the board of ReMerge, a comprehensive diversion program. Shalynne is recognized as a 2024 Oklahoma Magazine 40 Under 40 honoree. In 2023, Shalynne’s outstanding work earned her recog- nition as a Notable DEI Leader by 405 Business Magazine and as one of the Metro’s Most Influential Leaders. She holds a Master of Human Relations degree from The University of Oklahoma and is a qualified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inven- tory (IDI), a cross-cultural assessment of intercultural competence.

Demetri Economou has over a decade of high-stakes oil and gas experience and currently co-chairs KRCL’s Energy, Oil & Gas Practice Group. Demetri is regularly

on the front lines of disputes, both before and during litigation, and is a certified mediator. With over 12 years advising general counsel and business leaders in the energy industry, Demetri brings the experience and resolve necessary to meet any legal challenge. He provides trusted advice to KRCL’s upstream, midstream and oilfield services clients, including in high-dollar royalty litigation and cases involving lease and deed interpreta- tion, surface use, midstream and services contracts, and oilfield trade secrets, including both trial and appellate work. Demetri is also a founding member of the Energy Mediation Center, which specializes in alternative dispute resolution for the energy industry.
