FOOTNOTE EXPLANATION Reading the footnotes you will notice an overall theme of pointing out and denoting a value to measure competition among the sale animals. Those measures are in several forms as follows: 1. Ratios: A Ratio of 100 is average. A 105 Ratio is 105% of average and a 95 Ratio for example is 95% of average. Reference to an ADG Ratio compares the bulls for average daily gain for a period from Sept. 9, 2025 to Feb. 3, 2026 which is 147 Days. (See inside cover for more explanation.) 2. Rankings among the sale Bulls or Females: These rank- ings point out and compare the animals that Rank high for that EPD within their contemporary group. 3. Among the breed Ranking on a percentage (%) basis: A) The data base for comparing the sale bulls is called a Non-parent Bull group which includes all bulls on record in the Angus breed that are non-parent bulls (majority being Yearling Bulls). That database currently is over 160,000 animals. So for example: A bull that ranks among the Top 1% of the breed for an EPD is among the top 1,600 bulls across the entire breed for that trait. In other words he is better than 158,400 bulls for that EPD. B) The female database for our sale females is called a Non-parent Cow group. That database currently is over 120,000 animals within the Angus breed.
