Fyffe High School recently honored eleven basketball senior student-athletes. The 2026 senior standouts include: (L-R) Hannah Poss (#23), Dawson McCollum (#0), Ellison Stone (#3), Alexander Nelson (#2), Mandy Reno (#4), Daniel Cardoso (#5), Brindlee Walston (#2), Colby Clines (#11), Samantha Galloway (#11), Jacob Williamson (#12), and Ella Nail (#14).

They include: Gabriel Garcia (#21), Eli Schlageter (#14) and Cooper Johnson (#2). Since senior night, Geraldine defeated Sylvania 60-31 in the Area tournament semifinals, and went on to claim the Class 3A Area 13 championship with a 46-38 victory Collinsville. The Panthers advanced to the Area tournament finals with a 47-40 victory over Fyffe. Both Geraldine and Collinsville earned sub-regional wins to advance to the Class 3A Northeast Regional tournament. The Bulldogs are set to play Whitesburg Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. The other 3A regional semifinal game will feature the Collinsville Panthers vs. Westbrook at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 18.

The 2026 Geraldine senior varsity girl's basketball players were recently recognized. They include: Addison Griffin (#11), Kenleigh Cowart (#21), and Karissa Brock (#20). The Lady Bulldogs concluded the 2026 season with a 63-41 loss to Fyffe in the semifinals of Class 3A Area 13 tournament. The Lady Red Devils advanced to the championship game, but fell to Sylvania 51-38. Sylvania reached the tournament championship game with a 61-43 victory over Collinsville.

Geraldine senior Eli Schlageter (center) recently signed a football scholarship with Knox College, which is located in Galesburg, Illinois. He was recruited as a DB under new Knox College Head Coach Adam Gonzaga. Eli has played varsity football for six years at Geraldine. He also lettered in basketball and he set two school records in track (200 and 400). Eli plans to pursue an Environmental Science degree. He hopes to someday attend the police academy and become a Federal Game Warden.
