Onsite Shredding
The City invites residents to participate in a free community Shred & E-Waste Event on Saturday, April 18th, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Placentia Civic Center (401 E Chapman Ave). Shredding documents can help prevent fraud and identity theft. E-waste recycling can repurpose natural resources, such as aluminum and copper. All Placentia residents and businesses are welcome. On-site shredding service is free. Please ensure that papers in 3-ring binders or thick metal clips are removed before shredding. Paper clips, staples, and rubber bands are accepted. Any electronics with a screen, as well as most items that plug into an outlet or require batteries, can be accepted for free. There is a service charge on major appliances. Hazardous waste is not accepted. This is a drive-thru event, so please place your items in the trunk and stay in your vehicle. Staff members will be available to assist with offloading.
