Lower Division
Upper Division
admissions information
Admission to Lower Division follows Faulkner’s Undergraduate Admissions requirements
upper division: All lower division requirements must be completed prior to beginning Upper Division. A minimum grade of C is required in all Professional Literacy courses. Exceptions may be granted for transfer students needing to complete the Faulkner University Bible course requirements. These courses may be completed in summer semesters during Upper Division. Overall GPA must be at least 2.75/4.0 at the time of application to be considered eligible for acceptance to the BSN Upper Division. Admission is competitive, and a 2.75 cumulative GPA does not guarantee admissions to the BSN Upper Division. Students who have attended a nursing program at another school will be required to submit a Letter of Good Standing signed by the nursing administrator of the program, verifying that the student was in good, moral, ethical, and legal standing with no previous disciplinary actions. Transfer of upper division nursing courses will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require faculty review of course syllabi.
Early Acceptance Program (EAP): Highschool juniors and seniors at participating high schools can guarantee their seat early in the BSN program! Scan to find out more.

Why Faulkner Nursing?
“Faith has always been a priority in my life, and Faulkner University offers a strong Christian environment that will allow me to continue growing spiritually while working toward my educational and career goals. Being a part of Faulkner’s nursing program will allow me to pursue my dreams while keeping God at the center of my life. Faulkner’s College of Health Sciences already has an excellent reputation, so I know the nursing program will be outstanding. I look forward to learning more about how to care for others medically and spiritually at Faulkner University.” “I chose nursing school not only because of my passion for helping others, but also because of my fascination with sciences and the intricate ways the body functions. Learning how to both treat a patient and understand the root cause of their illness is fascinating to me. I love the student-focused, Christian environment that Faulkner provides. I always feel welcome to share my thoughts and opinions, and truly cared for by my professors.” Why Faulkner Nursing? Cassidy Thrash Fall 2025 Inaugural Nursing Cohort
“Nursing is more than a profession — it is a sacred calling to serve others with excellence, humility, and grace. Here, you will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual foundation to care for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — in a world that is deeply in need of hope and healing.” Shellye Vardaman, PhD, RN, MEDSURG-BC, NEA-BC, CNE, Program Director
