DIVISION 415 – HOMEBREW LABEL DESIGN
ENTRY REGISTRATION: a Although homebrew artwork entries are free of charge, they must be pre-registered via either: - Online Entry by Midnight, Thursday, April 1 6 at www.alamedbabo.fairmanager.com or - Paper entries postmarked by Monday April 1 3 at the Alameda County Fair Exhibits Office. DELIVERY: Like HOMEBREW above. a Prepared Homebrew Label Design entries (described below) maybe shipped or hand-delivered to the More Beer San Leandro Showroom by the end of business Thursday April 1 6 . b Homebrew Label entries MUST BE hand-delivered to all other locations (therefore not shipped) by an hour before their end of business Thursday April 1 6 . c Homebrew Label entries may be dropped off to the fairgrounds from 10AM until noon April 18 . No entries will be accepted after noon on Saturday April 18 . PREPARING BOTTLE ENTRIES: a For each Homebrew Label Design entry, submit one empty, clean, standard, brown, 12 ounce, long neck bottle with the HOMEBREW LABEL DESIGN neatly affixed to the bottle. b Due to the inconvenience of handling, no other bottles will be accepted. c Attach an entry label via rubber band, preferably printing the computer generated label online at: Beer Labels . Otherwise, this label should uniquely identify the entry including entrant name, assigned fair entry number, division 415, class ('1' or '2' as defined below). Please spell out the class name. This label will be used by fair staff to track HOMEBREW LABEL DESIGN entries. d Entries become the property of the Alameda County Fair and will not be returned. JUDGING: a Homebrew label designs must reflect good taste. b Judging criteria will be based on an exhibitor’s creativity and originality. c Judges will be looking for an “ attention grabber ” that elicits further investigation based on use of color, design and composition. d Judges’ decision is final. Judging will be closed to exhibitors. e Results will not be given by phone. DISPLAY: HOMEBREW LABELS will be displayed in the Agriculture Building (Q) for the duration of the Fair. AWARDS: Special rosettes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each class. Class 1. Fair Theme Label, " Road to Summer 2020 " Class 2 .
