Will Jesus yet be “welcomed as King?” Ps. 2:6; Luke 1:32, 33; Ps. 24:7-10. What will be His credentials then?- Zech. 12:10. “Meek and sitting upon an ass?” Rev. 19:11. > Have you welcomed the scarred Christ? 1 Cor. 2:2. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) The common people heard Him gladly, and the common people her­ alded Him grandly. (2) The meek received Him, but the mighty rejected Him. £3) “Behold He cometh,” saith Zechariah, and He came. “Behold, He cometh with clouds,” says John, and He will come. (4) Scripture must be fulfilled to the very letter. (5) Had the people failed to acclaim Him, the rocks would have accorded Him praise. ( 6 ) There were clothes for carpets and palm branches for banners. (7) ’ He rode but once, but it was on the road to the Cross. ( 8 ) When He comes again, he will ride upon the clouds with pomp and great glory.
