Now showing: Gathering Kristi Biezaite 12 May – 14 June 2025

Coming up: Saltbush Country 23 June – 2 August 2025

Saltbush Country provides a rare opportunity to experience the works and worldviews of Aboriginal artists working independently across regional South Australia. In this exhibition, seven artists tell stories of their culture, community and connection to Country. (image) Deanna Newchurch and Lynette Newchurch, Point Pearce, South Australia 2023. Textile art begins long before the first stitch is made. Unlike many other art forms, its materials are not simply bought in an art shop; they are made, created, and collected. Fibres are spun, fabrics are pieced together, and dyes are drawn from plants. Handspun fibres and natural dyes make the creating a slow and intentional process. This exhibition is a gathering - of materials, of textures and stories. It is shaped by what surrounds us - wool from local sheep, dye from eucalyptus in the backyard, and the landscape itself.

What's happening at the Tatiara Libraries

PETER COOMBE In April, we welcomed Peter Combe to hold SOLD OUT concerts in Keith and Bordertown! His energetic nature and songs with silly lyrics had everyone joining in and happily clapping and dancing along. Special mention to the two dads, four mums, and three grandmas who lined up to get photos with Peter without their children. With lots of positive feedback, it was amazing to see everyone out with their kids to dance and sing-along!
